Cons: Can compress and lose loft over years of heavy use. Lower-density fill can make the toy feel limp — quality matters here.

Memory Foam Fill

Memory foam fill gives plush toys a distinctly different feel — denser, more substantial, and slow to return to shape when squeezed, similar to the memory foam used in mattresses and pillows.

Bean Fill (Pellet Fill)

Bean fill consists of small plastic or glass pellets that allow the plush to be posed or sat in positions and maintain that pose — the same principle as a beanbag chair. Pros: Creates poseable, balanced plush that can sit upright on their own. Adds a satisfying weight. Popular for collectible figures and weighted plush.

Cons: Small pellets can become a choking hazard if seams fail, so seam strength and material quality are critical. Not suitable for toys intended for very young children without extra safety measures. Heavier than PP cotton.
